Technical leadership, architecture, audit.

We are a software engineering consultancy based in Rennes, France. We take engagements lasting from a few days to a few months, with companies that build or run their own systems. Three situations come up most often.

• Interim technical leadership

  A company finds itself without a technical leader, or has never had one. Architecture decisions and hiring are on hold, and the board is asking for a timeline.

• Architecture and audit

  An investment has to be approved, or a company acquired. The real state of the system, and the cost of the work ahead, need to be known before committing.

• Expert reinforcements

  A team is stuck on a specific technical problem it has never had to solve: a critical component to design, a data pipeline to make reliable.

House rules

• One person throughout the engagement, who reads and writes the code.
• Written deliverables, handed over as the work proceeds and reusable by the team afterwards.
• A progress update every week, and delays announced as soon as they look likely.
• Recommendations that are argued and costed, including when they go against the original request.
